the launch of its NetAlliance Solution Partner Program and the inclusion of digital media partners in its NetAlliance Partner Program. The partnership with Digital Media involves around 40 value added resellers and solution partners.
The main purpose behind this alliance is to help joint customers to make their global presence felt quickly and to help them deploy advanced video solutions. Through its NetAlliance Solution Partner Program Akamai has entered into alliances with Civolution, Digital Rapids, Elemental, Envivio, Haivision, Harmonic and Max Sound to make best use of complementary products to better video workflows. With Akamai’s successful alliances with digital media leaders like Brightcove, Internet Broadcasting, Kaltura, Kit Digital, OOyala and thePlatform enables its customers to choose from leaders in transcoding, encoding, content management, integrated post production, monetization and player development solutions. Whereas Akamai’s partnership with digital media partners like Celtra, Deltatre and Quickplay Media adds mobile video platform, mobile marketing and advertisement, live video player technology, internet and IT service capabilities to the Akamai partner ecosystem.
Akamai mentioned that the partnerships with various technology leaders will allow it customers to increase their global reach, gain easy access to development funds, integration of online platform to their products, reduction in costs, off loading traffic and leveraging their solutions.
