Last Thursday (on January 26, 2012), NTT Communications, the leading provider of network solutions and one of major Tier-1 global IP network services providers, announced that the Company will participate in various major industry events that will happen during the first quarter of 2012 and support the advancement and development of networks in US and Latin America.
Among the various major events, the first one will be the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG) 54, which will be held in San Diego from Feb 5-8, where NTT will join as a Diamond sponsor. NTT’s participation at the Capacity Caribbean on Feb 7 and 8 at the Montego Bay in Jamaica will be the next event. Finally, NTT will participate at the Capacity LATAM in Sao Paulo, Brazil from March 5 to 7, and in this event, NTT will not only participate in various panels, but also sponsor a technology workshop titled “Best Practices for Network and Operational Management”.
At its end, NTT mentioned that it foresaw a huge growth potential in the Americas and its participation in the events showed the Company’s commitment to expanding and collaborating further in the region.

Yesterday (on December 12, 2011), ChinaCache, the leading provider of Content Delivery Solutions provider in China, announced that it will be hosting its Internet Strategy Forum 2011 – A Walk in the Clouds, which will allow the various Chinese business leaders to come together and discuss the future and scope of the cloud computing solutions.
With the changes in the latest trends and the advancements in the cloud computing and Content Delivery Network segments, it has become extremely important that the service providers keep innovating. This is in-line with ChinaCache’s strategy of creating content-aware networks and also integrating their services with other solutions and services available in the market. Yesterday (on June 7, 2011) and Today (on June 8, 2011), Akamai, Limelight Networks, Level 3, Voxel, which are all the leading providers of content delivery services, announced that it will be participating in the Internet Socity’s World IPv6 Day, the first global-scale trial of the new IPv6 Internet Protocol. As part of this testing Limelight Networks will not only test its own IPv6 capabilities but also provide delivery services to ISOC World IPv6 Day website.
With the IPv4 addresses getting exhausted, various service providers are now asking for the deployment of the new IPv6 protocol, and as a Content Delivery Leader, Limelight Networks extended its support for this new technology. The World IPv6 day will allow the Company to test its production services after enabling IPv6, so as to ensure a smooth transition as and when the new deployment becomes permanent. The IPv6 is the first step towards ensuring that global Internet has enough IP addresses to meet the rising demands.
As part of this event, more than 400 other organizations including Akamai, Limelight Networks, Level 3 and Voxel will be enabling the IPv6 on their main services.
