Limelight Networks Adds Web Acceleration Features

Today (on September 10, 2010), the Arizona based Content Delivery Networks Solution provider Limelight Networks announced that it will upgrade its portfolio of network performance enhancing solutions by the addition of two new web acceleration features, the Commerce Accelerator and the Portal Accelerator.

These new solutions are expected to enhance the speed of the dynamic site content, which includes transactions, shopping carts, personalized web pages and all other forms of interactive content. These acceleration tools would thus be useful for all the web publishers and retailers who run online portals, web business applications and stores, which can leverage these tools to reduce their delivery time and hence improve the quality of service for the end user.

Since the tools are just launched, the Company has not revealed much about how they work or the statistics about the improvements they give. Moreover, for now, the pricing information of these new solutions is not disclosed.
