Limelight Networks Collaborates with Conviva for Better Online Video
Yesterday (on January 26, 2012), Limelight Networks, one of the leading providers of innovative Content Delivery Network services, announced that it had entered in a strategic alliance with video quality optimization and analytics provider, Conviva, to integrate the offerings of both Companies and provide better online video streaming capabilities to its customers.
The integration will merge the analytics information provided by Conviva and merge it with the global computing platform of Limelight Networks, to allow the latter’s customers to get various real time reports and information of how their content is being viewed and also how the CDN is performing. Apart from this, the analytics also allows the reports to be created based on geographic filters, user devices and support for various cross-platform technologies like Flash, Silverlight and HTML 5, along with RTMP and HTTP streaming protocols.
Both Limelight Networks and Conviva were happy to launch the joint offering that allows users to leverage both CDN capabilities and still have in-depth reports; and the solution is called “Embedded Insights”.
