Today (on May 9, 2012), GoGrid, the leading provider of managed hosting and cloud based infrastructure services, announced that Martini Media, the leading digital platform for advertisers had selected its cloud infrastructure to host its Big Data infrastructure for its advertising platform to deliver the ad content faster and more reliably.
Martini Media mentioned that the Company processed more than 250 online events each day and thus needed a fast and scalable platform to process and deliver the ads, and that it where it selected GoGrid. With GoGrid’s data centers and distributed hybrid hosting infrastructure, Martini Media was able to deliver its ad content anywhere in the US between 150-250 milliseconds. Moreover, the hybrid cloud also allowed Martini Media to leverage single-tenant hardware for processing Hadoop and Cassandra databases, while allowing the platform front-end to be managed by the cloud servers.
Last month, GoGrid had mentioned adding the Big Data solution and Hadoop and so it was happy that Martini Media was leveraging this offering to meet its high compute needs and delivering content at extremely fast speeds.
