Mirror Image Internet and Wowza Media Systems Upgrade CDN Services

Last Monday (on July 16, 2010), Mirror Image Internet, which is a leading provider of content delivery solutions announced expansion of its media streaming capabilities with its partner Wowza Media Systems to provide high bandwidth options to their existing customers.

While the companies are working together since 2009, this new expansion is expected to increase the server performance of Mirror Image to 10 Gbps and provide additional support for the newer devices like Apple’s iPhone and iPAD along with many other smart phones and handheld devices.

Apart from this, the latest Wowza Media Server 2 will also provide high-speed content, which can be encoded into a variety of platforms like Flash, SilverLight, QuickTime and RealTime media formats amongst others for maximum reach. This has enabled Mirror Image to spread and retain its Content Delivery Networks among various customers including Streamquik and Vingo.tv among others.

The Mirror Image Internet’s Management has also giving very positive remarks about the value that Wowza Media Systems brings to them through its high scalability and expanded capabilities of the latter’s Media Management Platform.
