SoftLayer Hires Walter Z. Berger as Chief Financial Officer

This Monday (on February 6, 2012), SoftLayer Technologies, one of the leading providers of dedicated and cloud-based hosting services, announced that it will be appointing Walter Z. Berger as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide the Company forward as it embarks on financial growth and global expansion.

Walter Berger is a veteran with more than 30 years of work experience, wherein he has worked in various operational positions even as CFO is various public Companies. He worked as VP and CFO of Leap Wireless International, CBS Radio and Emmis Communications among his various previous positions. The SoftLayer management mentioned that bringing Walter on the table will be crucial as the Company looks at growing further, and his prowess and caliber will help them in deciding their growth plans in the future.

At his end, Walter mentioned that he was happy with the appointment, and he would be appointed as the CFO of SoftLayer from next month, i.e. March, 2012.
