Stein Mart to Leverage Level 3′s Smart WAN Offering

Yesterday (on February 28, 2012), Level 3 Communications, one of the premier providers of international IP-based communication services, announced that Stein Mart Inc., one of the leading fashion retailers, would be leveraging its Smart WAN solution to have better connectivity among the 262 stores that the latter has in the United States.

The Stein Mart organization was in need for a solution that would allow it to connect all its stores while also delivering high performance to ensure that the Company’s crucial functions like throughput at Point of Sale, sales monitoring and inventory management are carried out smoothly. With the wide reach of Level 3’s Tier-1 network and its immense scalability, the Smart WAN solution was a logical choice for Stein Mart to host its business applications for inventory tracking, revenue reporting and generating various charts based on analytics, thus allowing the Company to focus on its core strengths.
