Yesterday (on March 10, 2011), EverydaySource.com, which is a division of eForCity Corp. and is listed as #255 in Internet Retailer’s Top 500 list, announced that they would leverage the services of CDNetworks, the highest performing global Content Delivery Network, to improve the speed of their website. This move is to help the Internet retailer in improving its page views and quality of service for its customers.
Actually, until last year, EverydaySource.com used to host its website on the e-commerce platform of Yahoo Stores, but then the Company decided to build its own in-house platform. While the Company could match up with the e-commerce giants like Amazon in their platform, the website performance remained inferior because they could not have dedicated servers in different parts of the globe. This is when the Company decided to leverage CDNetworks’ CDN for rendering their images and static content, thus reducing the loading time of the retailer’s pages to mere milliseconds.
EverydaySource.com mentioned that the high speed of their website helps them in meeting their target of 25% year on year increase in page-views. eForCity also leverages CDNetworks for its other Yahoo Stores platform based domains like eForCity.com, iTrimming.com and AccStation.com.

Today (on November 11, 2010), CDNetworks, the highest performing global Content Delivery Network services provider, announced the general availability of its China Acceleration solution to its global clients. This will allow the clients of CDNetworks to market their websites more effectively in mainland China region, thus allowing them to tap the immensely large Chinese market.
While the Chinese Internet market is rapidly booming, the International Companies are facing various business and technological challenges owing to the highly protected and cumbersome process of licensing that is present in China. In normal situations, the Internet players outside the region face a high latency, with the US websites having a 200-350 millisecond delay and the Europe-based websites facing a 400-600 millisecond delay. This latency can adversely influence the browser-based applications and lead to losses for the e-commerce websites.
The China Acceleration solution effectively combats this latency and according to CDNetworks, its clients who use this service have observed an improvement for 300-1000 percent, thus making this solution extremely important for any global player, who is planning to expand its hold in the Chinese markets.
