This Tuesday (on February 14, 2012), GoGrid, one of the leading providers of cloud-based infrastructure services, announced that Microgroove, one of the leading providers of software to many of the most popular music websites, is leveraging its cloud-based infrastructure-as-a-service solution to provide unparalleled scalability to its customers.
Earlier, the Companies that used Microgroove’s platform had to host the Company’s platform themselves, and while many of these Companies setup their own data centers and networks, it only allowed them to use traditional colocation. However, by making use of GoGrid, not only would Microgroove’s customers not have to worry about the logistics of infrastructure management, but also they would get better reliability and performance owing to GoGrid’s Content Delivery Network, which will relay the data to the viewers from its closest PoP rather than a central data center.
Both Microgroove and GoGrid were happy with the deal, and Microgroove mentioned that earlier it had found managing its customers’ data expensive and difficult, but now with GoGrid, it could focus on its innovations better. The Company moved more than 100 of its music websites to GoGrid’s infrastructure.
