Turbobytes Launches meta-CDN Service

This Thursday (on April 26, 2012), Turbobytes, one of the upcoming technical startups in the Content Delivery Network industry, announced the launch of its multi-platform meta-CDN service, which allows customers to leverage services of four different CDN networks as of now, in real-time to optimize delivery of content and costs.

Basically, what Turbobytes does is that it creates an engine by addition of a non-blocking JavaScript code and the engine will analyze data in real-time and make decision about which of the CDNs to use for providing best performance results. Turbobytes makes use of Dyn for DNS and optimization and reconfigures the DNS settings based on region, country and even state-levels to provide maximum performance. The offering also provides a dashboard, which shows the performance of different CDNs in different regions in real-time, thus allowing the system to make intelligent switching decisions.

Turbobytes mentioned that since it allows customers to use different CDNs without needing to make major changes in their system or create accounts with different CDN providers, its Multi-CDN offering is expected to provide great results. As of now, the Company leverages EdgeCast Networks, Level 3 Communications, Internap and NetDNA, and the Company will be adding more CDN providers to its list later.
