Yokto.tv Launches on Amazon Web Services
This Tuesday (on August 16, 2011), Yokto, the provider of a video hosting and intelligent conversion and player platform, announced that it is looking out for different cloud infrastructures to increase its reach among the audience. The current solution leverages the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the open video platform (OVP) for streaming the content from any online video source or Amazon S3 hosted videos.
Yokto mentioned that it aimed at providing a generic solution that would simplify the management of the video content. Apart from this, the service also offers integrated video analytics for various media sources and provides the relevant information on its dashboard. Overall, the Company is trying to build a framework wherein the customer can make use of any cloud-based infrastructure and leverage the Smart Flash and HTML-5 based intelligent player of Yokto for streaming their content.
While, Yokto already works with AWS, the Company is already in talks with Rackspace Cloud and other cloud providers for extending its services with their systems.
